The Baltimore, Maryland Chapter of Club Dejouir, Incorporated was installed in 1980. The chapter is part of the National Organization that was incorporated in 1955 with the purposes of promoting a social atmosphere among women of like ideals; encouraging the virtues of womanhood here and elsewhere in our nation; and participating actively in local and national charitable endeavors.
The Baltimore charter members are Addie Burton, Clara Carter, Doris Cooke, Jacqueline Hilson, Yvonne Jackson, Almeta Johnson, Flossie Johnson, Ruth Muldrow, Edwina Watkins, and Virginia Watkins. Since that time the Baltimore Chapter has gained notoriety and continues to attract positive women looking to make a positive impact in their local communities and beyond.
Our club represents the ultimate in sisterhood, service and sophistication. We are proud of the accomplishments of the club and look to continue our efforts today and into tomorrow.
The Baltimore Chapter has organized and participated in fundraisers, community service activities with the goal of providing a helping hand to those in need.
If you are interested in working with us as we continue to make a positive impact on the lives of our members and those with needs in our community, contact us at baltimore@clubdejouir.org.
